GENESIS

GENESIS, is the first track of my upcoming EP [REDACTED] and it's an incredibly special track to me. I created it shortly after I first made "Move" (my debut single) in June 2025. I blended a lot of Turkish instruments (bağlama, zurna, darbuka) and references ("Protected and favored by my nazaar amulet", the bridge is entirely in Turkish) in this song. It's also my first bilingual song, as I sing in both English & Turkish. The song is about being young, ambitious, chasing your dreams, and people telling you it's unrealistic just makes you want it more.

Make or Break

Make or Break was an incredibly experimental track for me. It's a dark pop track about wanting to enjoy the moment. I wrote it at a time where there was a lot of stress coming at me from what felt like all sides of my life. I was having sleepless nights and I wanted a track that I could dance to and make me feel free. I love the build-up through the song, leading to a very dancey ending.Halloween also fell on a Friday in 2025, so it felt right to release this song that day.

Move

Move is my debut single about partying with your partner and even with every temptation that exists in a club setting, you just want to let loose with them. The click clack sounds you here in the background is the sound of a Turkish spoons and the pre-chorus includes a bağlama. It was my very first time incorporating Turkish elements into a song and I knew this was the direction I wanted my sound to go in. While I want to keep exploring more sounds, it's always felt right to incorporate my heritage into my music. I also released this song on my 20th birthday, as it had fallen on a friday in 2025, because what better way to start a decade than debuting your music career.
